Then, they launched out, small ten of our enthusiast and faithful members.

The subject was obvious: it was necessary to tell the history of Irmengarde and its knight.

 

How to do ? In do we have competences ? … between theory and practical, there is sometimes an abyss!

Some of our members can already draw, paint illuminations, write calligraphy, bind,… , ...let's go, one launches out… the rubicon to cross….

 

Anxious to respect with more close the techniques of the time, we make the choice of the products and ancestral matters. Not without trouble, because some disappeared with the wire of the centuries. The label “like in Middle Ages” : not obvious !

Anxious to respect with more close the History of our Lorraine, for the drafting of the texts, it is necessary us to check the exactitude of the brought back facts, the relevance of the terms of use at the time.

Anxious to respect with more close the rules of page layout , manufacturing constraints and the golden section of Pythagore, composition of the chapters, classification by booklets to be binded: all this marks out our preliminary works.

 

Finally! innumerable personal researchs, few kilometers too (with a car, we were authorized to forsake the oxcart and horse), handing-over on level in certain subject matters, in particular throught training courses organized regularly by the Old Castle of Volkrange, near sixty hours of pooling : the preliminaries are finished… “manuscrit… here we are !”

This activity is opened at anyone, some are your experiments and competences in old book ! The collrgial work allows the integration of the experts as much as neophytes in the project. It is all the object of this activity and the leitmotiv of association: “to give desire for wanting!”
